. : se ma / About Us

The fasination of „Light & Energy“ in its many manifestations affected the two firm founders Dr. Udo Dieckmann and Dipl.Ing. Karin Rauch to establish the se ma Gesellschaft für Innovationen mbH.

At the beginning while working with photochrome switching glass panels which retard the sun light by dimming, the conclusion came up that the functions of surfaces decrease through the influence of damaging UV-radiation.

With the synthesis of highly absorbing UV-protective additives based on conventional and renewable raw marerials, thin and transparent surface coatings were realized. The exceptional advantage of these new materials is the sharp transmission span at 400 nm which detain the damaging UV-raditaion.

Our products can be applied to various fields of applications such as modern glass architecture, facades or museums but also color / varnish industries and UV-protective film manufacturers belong to these fields.
